Ministry Rotas

The Ministry Rotas are drawn up each month from members of the congregation, who volunteer to serve in a variety of ways: The rotas are set out in the Parish Magazine each month.

Sidesmen - welcoming friends and visitors as they come for worship, offering hymn books and service sheets. Sidesmen also present the collection plate at the altar during the service.

Prayers - offering intercessions or special prayers at some services.

Bread and Wine - presenting the bread and wine at the altar during services of Holy Communion.

Coffee - making and serving coffee in the Old School hall after the main morning service; also washing up afterwards!

Flowers - providing and arranging flowers in church for Sunday services, usually to remain there for visitors to enjoy during the week.

Church cleaning - small teams of volunteers to clean the church in preparation for Sunday services, teams usually volunteering for a month at a time.

Bell ringing - ringing the church bells before the 9.45 am service on Sundays. An unwritten rota ensures that from a team of 12 bell ringers, at least 6 are present in the bell-tower each Sunday.
